In the shadow of The Big One

With a mix of 120 family, executive and deluxe rooms plus a series of lavish suites the Boulevard Hotel will bring a diverse crowd to the Blackpool Promenade. Visitors can settle into the 150-cover Beachside Restaurant, the Ocean Club function space, and a large conference/wedding venue.

This was a complex build. Situated on Blackpool’s busy Promenade, in the shadow of the UK’s tallest rollercoaster and on sandy bedrock, it took all of our construction planning, engineering and programme management skills to open Blackpool’s newest hotel on time and within budget.

To ensure the building stands firm on the soft bedrock, we used 163 substantial CHD pile foundations, a 120 tonne ground-floor steel frame and a timber frame for the upper levels.

Unveiled in June 2019, the Boulevard Hotel looks forward to bringing a mix of visitors to the north of England’s most lively tourist destination.
