Truman approaches completion of remedial works for Hudd Student Living

Truman is nearing completion of the remedial works at Blocks A&B, Manchester Road, ensuring that the student accommodations not only stand tall in structure but also safety and compliance standards.

Scope of Work

Our team undertook a comprehensive overhaul of the two student accommodation blocks built in 2019. This included the replacement of the original cladding, the introduction of enhanced internal fire safety measures, and a complete refurbishment of the studio bedrooms. Additionally, new communal spaces were crafted, including a gym, dedicated study areas, well-equipped kitchens, dining spaces, and media rooms.

Hudd Student Living Limited had made a significant investment in these blocks. With students eager to move in, the onus was on ensuring these accommodations were safe, compliant, and up to the mark in terms of modern living standards. Meeting the strict safety regulations was paramount, but so was delivering a facility where students could thrive.

This £11.9m project is 55 weeks in the making and with it soon to complete, Huddersfield will soon have a new and exciting spot for students to live and enjoy their university experience.
