Final touches for new NIU Hotel

Following the completion of the steel frame in June, the interior fit-out works have now commenced at the NIU Hotel adjacent to Manchester’s Irish World Heritage Centre.

We have delivered a ground floor steel transfer deck that houses accessible bedrooms, reception area and conviviality suite. Above this, three floors of light-gauge steel superstructure house all additional bedrooms. The exterior of the building will be a mix of blockwork and render, creating a modern look.

The 135-bedroom hotel will be a welcome addition to the centre which is a major base for the Irish community offering a diverse programme of cultural activities, alongside conference and events facilities. The hotel is expected to open at the end of 2019.
